The copy leaped back the instant Seg disappeared, vaguely realizing that the smaller wolf was back in place only a fraction of a second later. His icy blue eyes took in the paws that were falling toward him, as if in slow motion with the hazy fog over his mind. Pulling back farther, Seg's paws missing him by centimeters. The imposter lunged forward again with open jaws, trying to get a hold of Seg's neck or scruff. Black Rain felt the release of his grip, feeling his jaws click shut on air. He considered spinning around to see where Seg had teleported off too, but it wasn't necessary as the smaller black wolf appeared back into place. The larger wolf was slammed with Seg's rear, but it did little due to size difference. His paws shuffled a bit to one side, other than that, nothing. He made a lunge, putting his shoulder forward and launching toward Seg's ribs in the short space they had between them. His Dragon Heart blessing was still in affect and he could feel the raw power burning in his muscles. The impact would be much more than a wolf his size could normally do. As his body closed that mere foot distance, the brute's jaws opened and he arched his head over Seg's back, aiming for a grip on the spin behind his shoulders.
