A couple hours went by, but progress was being made. About a half hour back Cloud had hit the icy, hard frozen underground. However, challenges never made a difference to him. Covered from nose to tail in dirt, the work was hardly making the black wolf pant. He kept his breathing steady and even, eyes narrowed on the spot. As long as he didn't hit anything terribly out of place, there would be no breaks.
Even now, only a few hours in, the den was forming quite nicely. If it were just for him, he could probably have stopped, seeing as it was small enough for a single wolf. But thinking about it, he had to fit Armony, pups, a dragon at times, and himself in there... not to mention any mythical creatures his children chose to drago home. His eyes rolled at the thought, knowing that most dens in Armony's family were like a mythical human zoo. Especially Sen's, with her son's collection of dragons and two gryphons as well.
As if some cosmic joke artist heard his thoughts, the wolf's paw struck somethin a bit more solid than the frozen ground. Cloud started digging around it, clearing the dirt away and hoping this "rock" was small enough for him to remove by himself. Luckily it was turning out to be a good sized rock, not terribly big though.. and smooth, almost like a large.. egg. Well that was apparent as the exposed area popped suddenly, shards of shell going everywhere. Cloud shook the bits of debri from his face, looking back to the spot where a small, white reptile now gazed up at him with pale blue eyes from it's half shell. "Uhh... Arm?" He called to his mate, voice uncertain. The black brute began to back away, but to his dismay, the small dragon folowed.
Golden eyes on the little lizard, Cloud continued to back away. "Armony?" The baby dragon continued its advance, chirping and tilting his head, tail flicking back and forth occasionally. Cloud felt his filthy hind leg hit something soft and warm. Glancing over his shoulder, he noticed it was his mate. When he turned back, he almost jumped. The little dragon lept for him, clinging to his shoulder and groping the pull itself higher. Cloud spun around, trying to reach it to pull it off, but the little dragon was just out of his reach. "Armony, help?" It wasn't a panicked voiced, but definitely uncertain.
