Black Rain saw, or rather didn't, Seg vanish beneather him. The sudden change in air pressure above him told him the smaller wolf was now just above him. He knew what Seg was hoping for, and had no intentions of letting it happen. As the ground neared, Black Rain's icy blue eyes judged the distance. At last second, the larger wolf's wings shot out to either side, slowing him, then vanish as he hit the ground and rolled sideways. Having been planned, it didn't hurt him, and he continued his roll to his feet, standing and looked to the spot where he'd first touched, the spot where Seg would most likely be hitting now.

The dubplicate jogged his way over, having watched the two wolved start their nosedive. After his originator fell and was out of the way, the second Black Rain lunged, jaws open and paws out, more to make an impact after Seg touched the ground than to take a hold of him.
