When the bodies collided, the copy wolf fell to the ground as well, weak with the poison. He lay there for a moment, too dizzy, too jellowy feeling to get to his limbs. It was most likely a good thing for him at the beam of ice from his originator sailed just over him, freezing the furr on the wolf's left side.
Seeing Seg knocked to the side from his periferal, Black Rain cut off his ice beam, icy eyes flicking to the imposter on the ground then to Seg. He watched patiently as the dizzied smaller wolf found his way to his feet and gave a moment's thought, gaze narrowed and focused, intent on being ready. As Seg bolted suddenly for the larger wolf, Black Rain didn't have to wait long to react. At last second, just before Seg reached him, the large black brute gave a sudden burst of speed, shoulders low, making to force a slam into the smaller wolf. At the same time, he felt Seg's teeth grabbing the side of his neck, Black Rain reached for Seg's flank just behind his shoulder, jaws open and willing to take a hold. Though the inertia of the smaller wolf was great with his speed, the counter leap had reduced the impact for the larger wolf. BR planted his feet firmly, refusing to go to the ground.
Meanwhile, the copy stood a little shakily, head throbbing with the infecting poison. His blurry vision took in the sight of a large black blob and a smaller one. Common sense told him that the larger was the other of him, so, with his mind a bit fuzzy, the copy BR ran as fast as his jelloy limbs would let him and opened his jaws. Approaching from behind, the copy wolf hoped to get a good grip on either side of Seg's hind quarter.. possibly even the tail. He wasn't going to be picky seeing as he could bearly tell what part of the smaller wolf he was looking at.
