"But why mama!? I want to go be there for papa!" Cealia roared from her bed. Orchid had told her to stay and wait until Uncle Rain and Seg had come to a conclusion.
"I won't hear anything more of it, you should only see your father at his best and no less I tell you to wait listen to me, it's for the best."
"I know mama, I know. I know you were raped, how long did you expect us not to know. Wolves mouths are big It had gotten around. We were forced on you and you forced us on him! I know it all."
"You were not forced on me! I could have easily killed you all, but I didn't. You weren't forced don't ever say that again!." Orchid was tired of this back and forth she didn't want her daughter to see the fight she could of course go afterwards. "After all I've done for my children, you disobey me?" She asked defeated, beaten and shaken by Seg's last words. She looked worse than when the day had started and now Orchid was only asking for it to end.
"No mama, I don't. But I want to see papa before I leave in the morning." Cealia Reasoned. Cealia was the closest thing to Seg than any of the three pups, the boys were always closer to each other and their mother than anyone else.
"Okay," Orchid said, she wouldn't keep them from him, they were as much his as they were Rapier's but more hers than either of them. The current three were also as much Segs as hers and never would she keep them from him...she only did not want them to know the side of Seg she herself did not understand. Orchid took her place back near the pups but she was hungry again and she had no energy to feed them...That wasn't good. But instead of pushing the pups away she simply laid her head on her paws and waited for CF to come...
Cealia was unaware that her half brother and cousin had flew off in a huff about how it's all his fault. She didn't readily agree that Lucky was to blame either. She wasn't sure what to think the whole situation was hidden from her kept at bay only told the slightly important details. How long before they wouldn't need to protect her any longer?
There was a crowd coming, Orchid felt it. She lay peaceful with her head on her paws...now that she'd calmed down some she was able to feed again. Her eyes on the walls of her den...it was tainted, marked and exposed. It was warm and quaint when she'd made it...the only dragon allowed being Asante...she wondered what her son would think of how she'd responded to his father. It was something she had to deal with no matter what the outcome. She sighed a heavy sigh filled with all the emotions that lay trapped inside that were not allowed out during her little speech. "CF, I am sorry you had to see me like that. I am really normally very quiet and calm." She looked back at Cealia who was looking out the back port towards the battle area that her uncle had chosen. "I have never fought with my children before tonight...How do you take something like that?" she whispered to him.
