Lucien had made his way to the gathering much later than everyone else. The snow leopard had been acting Beta in Black Rain's abscence, but the feline didn't feel comfortable in the position and was going to step down the moment his large wolf friend returned. However, the call he heard was of a challenge when he was at the far end of the pack so it took him longer to reach everyone. At his side was his larger brother, Tyheam. Both panther and snow leopard were on speaking terms again and now trying to figure out what was going on. The pair had missed the what parts of the conversation that had taken place before their arrival. The two large cats immediately decided to remain silent unless they were addressed. Above the gathering pack, Rothar, Aofie, and Yumi flew in silence, only to land if bidden to.

Coming from a much farther distance than any pack member, was actually a former pack member herself. The white wolf still stood with the strength of her youth, even though she was older. In fact, if she recalled, she was older than even Seg, alpha of ice. Saiyan chuckled, wondering if the wolf she had been Beta under in her younger days had lost his mind her. The large fae chuckled at the thought, especially when she knew it would take a lot for her to finally go senile. Still, she even wondered if the brute would remember her. The wolfess had stepped down due to circumstances beyond her control and never looked back. Currently, she'd made a home for herself in Wind Gale and was living peacefully. That wouldn't change.
She merely wanted to drop by and see how things were going in her old home. It didn't take long for her to find Seg's scent mingled with everyone elses. In fact, her large paws took her quickly to the gathering. By the looks of what she saw, it seemed someone was challenging. Sadly, as she looked across all those gathered, the only one she immediately recognized was Seg, and no other. Maybe her age was getting to her, but she found it unlikely. Saiyan laughed rather heartily at herself, making a note again of how old she really was. She had caught the conversation at the point of Seg mentioning his beta position being free. Saiyan laughed again; the large white wolfess stepping forward no too far from Black Rain, the challenger. After he had said the names, she definitely had to butt in, "And before them, it was me. Surely you haven't forgotten me old boy."
