Black Rain chuckled deeply, slowly shaking his head from side to side as he cooly observed the last of Seg's words. The large brute's tail gave a comical wag, showing the wolf was amused. A pleasant smirk caressed the black brute's features as he too took a step forward. "You don't remember Xiose?" he questioned, head tilting sideways. "When I first came here, you did have a beta. You don't remember her?" Black Rain gave quick tilt to his head and arch of his brow to enforce his point. Leaving that subject be, he moved on to the others. "I may not know enough, but at one point neither did you. Knowledge comes with the terratory of being Alpha."
Black Rain's face went back to it's original seriousness, head level and tail poised. Seg's posturing was far from dismantling the larger wolf's senses. "As far as talking to the pack," he started with a glance over to the small crowd. "Feel free. Call them all here and ask them what they think. I'm in no rush." The black wolf's icy blue eyes narrowed on Seg daringly, a hint of a smile twitching at his maw. The expressions died away slowly, going back to a cool composure. He was ready, really had been for a while. Perhaps Seg wasn't aware at how things had changed around him over the years.
