"My mother must die."
Koruchev, now taking the coloration and appearence of his mother, sat atop a rock not much bigger than he. He had a firm voice for such a small creature, and he was no longer a child. In terms of an Arctic Fox, he was still too small and too weak to be any match for his mother. Yet his firm judgement and true guidance made him the leader of the trio of voluntarily orphaned foxes. Then again, with Kik being as sarcastic and irresponsible and Nara not being able to hear anything, Koruchev was the only choice out of the three for most anything.
"Of course she must," growled Kikoria, the largest and most difficult member of the trio. "All things die, you moron. You mean we must kill her before she does something stupid." He glared up at Koruchev. Had it not been for the rock, Kik would have been a head taller than Koru.
Nara squealed, mostly to be involved. She never learned to speak, so no one ever knew what she meant. Then again, she never knew what was going on. At the moment, she was very confused as to why their mother was gone and why Koruchev looked so silly.
"Thank you for your technicalities," retorted Koruchev. "Now, does anyone else have anything to say before we bring the matter up?"
"I do," said the other female of the group. The she-wolf Sempai folded her feathered wings (tinted yellow), the recent acquiry from Karuma's second death. She still had her brown-gold-grey fur, although it was beginning to turn to white in some parts. She was reaching her fifth year of life--not a good age for her. The equivalence of forty to a human was no fun at all. And to think--all the pups she never mothered, all the things she never did. All because she was a coward. Well, no more cowering. Sempai would join this group, even if it cost her the life she struggled to keep.
"Yes, Sempai-dearest?" Koruchev spoke with respect--Sempai had been their surrogate mother for quite some time.
"Don't tell Riku or Seg," she sighed, her ears flattening. "I.. I would rather not bother them."
"Fine, then we will not--"
Koruchev was cut off by the sight of a familiar ghost floating past. He smiled, leaped down from his rock, and greeted Riku with a bow. "Hello, sir."
Riku smiled lightly and lowered his great head. "Greetings, little one. What are you doing?" The tiger looked better a long time ago (when he was still alive). He was almost transparent in this world of white. He could only be recognised by his green eyes, which were hard to see. "How are you?"
"Fine, sir.."
The small talk would continue until another joined their group.
((Open to anyone.))
