I rode with Les Hilton, who was Ed's trainer & kept him in the 1960s. We rode in Griffith Park in Burbank for at least a couple of years. I left Calif. in 1972, & he had to have Ed put down before that due to bone problems in the foot area. Les had acquired another palomino he called Pumpkin, or Punkin, but he said that horse never had the talent or smarts that Ed had. Riding with Les was something I considered to be a great privilege, as he was an amazing horseman.
