I can't believe it, I found others that knew Lee. Lee practically lived at our house in Inglewood. He and my brother (Mike Specht) were best friends. I was always "Mike's little sister". Lee gave me my first bicycle and I learned to dive in his pool (in actuality he threw me in head first). I too was fooled by the imposture in Thousand Oaks, Ca in the late 80's at one of those reunion events. I was sooo thrilled to see him again, I brought pictures of him when we were kids. After making my way through the crowds, I went up to him and said "Do you remember this?" showing him the pictures of him and my brother. I was crushed when he said no. He seemed loaded or high on something. It wasn't till I saw him with Paul Peterson on some TV show a couple of years later and discovered it was the "fake Lee". I was so relieved. I have very fond memories of Lee, Vinnie Weber, Keith Jones and all the rest of the gang in Inglewood.
