Ralph McCutheon had a nice stable located in the San Fernando Valley at Parthenia Street between Willis Avenue and Cedros. He had horses, buckboards, covered wagons and other western studio props at the location (it must have been several acres). When I was a kid I lived down the street on a one-acre parcel not far from what we called the "McCutcheon Ranch." This was in the 1950's - 1960's. He sold the property about the time we sold ours in the early 1970's. I think he moved his operation to the Sand Canyon area, but I'm not sure. Most of the people in the neighborhood sold off their property in the '70's and it was developed into apartment complexes.
