Was reading the info regarding Silver, the Lone Ranger's horse. Brace Beemmer, radio's Lone Ranger, owned the original Silver who was a stallion. Heard he also owned two of Silver's offspring. In the early 50's there was a contest in which several of Silver's offspring were the prizes. A girl from East Cleveland won one of the geldings and boarded it in Parma, at a branch of the original Lakewood Riding Academy. She did not know how to ride and was not interested much in the horse(figures}. He was only green broke and I was a kid in love with horses and needed one I did not have to pay for by the hour so I was able to finish training him. He was a three year old at the time, and of course his name was Silver. Somewhere I still have a few pictures of him and me. By the time he had turned four years old he was absolutely gorgeous and was sold. Heard he went on to become a show horse and I then lost track of him. He is long gone now, but what great memories he left with me.
