For several months in 2008, a vendor from California on the iOffer.com site, going by the name "tvtimemachine" was offering the 1958 SNOWFIRE movie on a DVD-R disc for less than US $10. The source for his DVD-R is a VHS tape recorded from a late night TV broadcast on KABC-TV7 in the 1980s, so the image quality is the same as a VHS tape. However, I think you will be pleasantly surprised how good the movie looks. I give it at least a "B" grade.
As of March 2009, he is no longer is selling through iOffer, but he has now begun selling the same DVD through http://www.oodle.com for $7.99
Just click on http://www.oodle.com/view/Snowfire-1958/1253439113/usa/ or surf to http://www.oodle.com and do a search for SNOWFIRE (1958).
Additionally, a different iOffer seller also has SNOWFIRE on DVD, so you'll have your choice of vendor.
Click on http://maintenance.ioffer.com/i/82422051 and scroll down the page alphabetically to "S" and SNOWFIRE (1958).
