As of September 27th, 2008, a vendor from California on the iOffer.com site, going by the name "tvtimemachine" is offering the 1958 SNOWFIRE movie on a DVD-R disc for less than US $10. I believe he also will ship the movie overseas.
I bought a copy and I can tell you that there are "no frills". The disc is shipped without artwork or a case, but the picture quality is "good".
The source for this DVD-R is a VHS tape recorded from a late night TV broadcast on KABC-TV7 in the 1980s, so the image quality is the same as a VHS tape. However, I think you will be pleasantly surprised how good the movie looks. I give it at least a "B" grade.
