Fat Jones stables was located at 11340 Sherman Way in N. Hollywood. "Fat"'s real name was Clarence Y. Jones and was the father of Carol Elaine Jones who married Academy Award actor Ben Johnson. I spent many hours there and knew Wahana (Flicka) Cochise (Mike Landon's horse on Bonanza), rode Dunny (Lorne Greene's horse), ponied Chubby (Dan Blocker's horse) Goldie was also used as the star in Comanche with Sal Mineo as the horse they brought from Mexico wouldn't work, if you look at him closely in the movie you can see the dark mark down his face to hide the blaze. It was a lot of fun growing up there. Now it is the corner of Sherman Way and Tajunga Ave (or was last time I was there.)
