Although I never saw a Lash LaRue movie, the Fawcett comic books with his pictures were very popular. In them, he rode a black horse called "Rush." When I finally met Lash years later, I asked what his horse's name was. I had forgotten it. He replied "Black Diamond." This must have been the horse's real name because he never referred to it by name in the films. Depending on his memory, he would say it was Black Diamond or Rush. He said that the studio wanted to change the name to Rush. Does anybody have any information on this.
