I don't know who wrote the copy about the life-size bronze statue of Brighty. But I can add that the sculpture was done by Peter Jepsen of Michigan, later of Pt Townsend WA, one of the most talented artists I've ever met. Unfortunately it's hard to find anything about him on the web. I believe he died several years ago. Would be nice if he got some credit!
