a cowboy named jack roddy is still alive, he might have know about any san jose rancher, most paints were not popular with qtr horse people untill the late 60s,also buck nored (deceased) might have a son of the same name in the san jose area that might know. there was another "horse dealer" in atherton Danny Sedgewick (i think, man this was 40yrs ago. he delt in all sorts of horse deals, some not so on the up and up. there was one more famous old time san jose rancher named dick miller, he must be deceased, he was a wonderful and colorful compassionate horse/ranch owner if he has family in san jose they might help you. there is baby peggy (famous child star) living in Hollister CA that wrote a book, she metions many of the horses used in hollywood, she might be alive today. good luck!
