I found a music CD, that has new recordings of the theme song, plus two other songs from two different episodes, where Mr. Ed wrote and sang these songs. The theme song opens with "Hello I"m Mister Ed," and sounds almost identical to the original. What makes this CD unique, is the fact that the other two songs are longer versions of the songs originally performed on "Mister Ed." I have a copy, and really enjoy it. I have checked on line, and the longer versions of "The Pretty Little Filly," and "Empty Feedbag Blues," are not available anywhere else. I would guess that the creator of this CD, must have obtained the original sheet music. You can hear the shorter versions,(with the laugh track) and read the shorter lyrics of these two songs, at the Mr. Ed Fun Page.
I went to check the site again, and I see they are offering free S&H, if ordered by March 1, 2006.
