Posted by Jane My husband and i recently ordered some DVDs of the old Cisco Kid episodes. Dice had two stand-ins! I don't know if it was because he was getting on in years by that time, or just too famous to have to haul butt, but the camera would be on Cisco atop Dice, and then, when he would take off at a gallop, another pinto would be substituted. Very distracting, almost comical, but I suppose most never noticed it. I recently purchased Arizona. The paint Jean Arthur rode in that movie looked somewhat like Dice, but upon further checking, had different markings all together. In any event, I did enjoy your page on the big paint. What a horse!

I read, with great interest, your information on my favorite "movie horse" of all time, the glorious DICE. While you mentioned Gene Autry having ridden him, you didn't give a nod to the Cisco Kid. It was while watching that show, as a girl, that I fell in love with Dice :)
