Was El Morrocco, Gene Autry's horse,
a half Arabian? When he was here in
Macon, Ga. my father spent time with
Gene showing him the City. After a
performance at the Macon, Ga. City
Auditorium, Gene picked me up and put
me on Champ. I can remember sitting
on him in the trailer also. I was a
little girl, probably about 6 to 8 years old. Gene was my idol. I have
a descendant of his Champion, Jr.
whose real name was Stonewall Allen,
a Reg. Tennessee Walking Horse Stallion. Gene is listed as his owner
with the Tennessee Walking Horse
Registry. Hard for some people to believe that both Champion, Jr. and
Roy Roger's Trigger were Reg. Tennessee
Walking Horses. Joan Hudson Brown
