Dakota's Abilities: Dakota is a five year old, 16 hand stallion that has been under saddle for one year. He is a gentle giant that is not your typical stallion. His best buddies at the barn are other stallions and geldings. He is a favorite with all the kids at the barn. He is quite and respectful and is always wanting to learn. He is trained in the art of Hunt Seat. He has taken the blue ribbon at all the the shows I have taken him to, except one where he got spooked. When he goes in the arena with the other horses it is easy to pick him out. He is the BIG one who looks like he is floating on air. His true talent is free lancing or Liberty. To watch him come into an arena and show off his natural talent will take your breath away. I should have named him "WHO IS THAT!" because that is all you hear when he is at a horse show. The pictures you see on his website www.weslinranch.com are from 2003 and 2004. He has put on about 125lb and another 1/2 inch in hight in 2005. (I will be updating his website soon with new pictures and all of his accomplishmentsin 2005.) I know there are many people that talk about there horse, but I have video to prove it! My intent is not money or fame based. I will not let either interfear with his health or happiness. I just know how he effects people and he loves to show off. I would like others to experince that same feeling. When Dakota comes around he draws crowds. I still think if there is a movie out there were it is about a horse or if an important person on screen needs a horse to reflect that importance (i.e. King or Queen or hero seen) I think he could do that very well.
