Posted by Chris on 3/26/2007, 3:48 am (Col 3:4) - 'With': G4862 = sun - A primary preposition denoting union; with or togeth (but much closer than G3326 or G3844), that is, by association, companionship, process, resemblance, possession, instrumentality, addition, etc., - beside, with. In compounds it has similar applications, including completeness. - 'Glory': G1391 = doxa - From the base of G1380; glory (as very apparent), in a wide application (literally or figuratively, objectively or subjectively): - digity, glory (-ious), honour, praise, worship. Hello there, Following on from the previous thread I would like to ask you to consider this verse which is so much part of our hope, and help me to understand exactly what is being said here. Preparitory to that:- We know that, in spirit, we are reckoned to have died with Christ, been buried with Him, raised with Him, ascended with Him, seated with Him, and are now awaiting his manifestation in glory, when we shall be manifested with Him. Yes? So now, where is this 'appearing/manifestation' to take place? Is it to be a manifestation, in spirit, in heavenly places prior to His 'coming'? Glory, can take on the form of a 'place' in our minds, rather like 'Heaven', but it is not a place is it? It is a state of glory and honour, majesty and position? Come on folks, let's consider this together, before God - by His grace. Chris
