I suppose a very good way to draw out His counsel is by pondering both God's Word and "the path of thy feet."

There are many differences between being an apostle and those alive today who quietly search the Word. On the road to Damascus, Paul was knocked to the ground with light and heard the voice of God, and subsequently he received many revelations. In Revelation, John heard a "voice of a great thunder."
