Posted by Chris on 3/14/2007, 4:40 am, in reply to "Praise" The verse that prompted my search into 'Praise' was the verse, "Whoso offereth praise glorifieth me." Psalm 50:23. In this case 'praise' indicates a choir of worshippers ( with the extension of the hands). In Leviticus 19:24 (Strongs H1974 = rejoicing) Looking back to verse 23 it says, In the notes of the CB., it says against 19:24: In the 5th year they could eat of the fruit (verse 25) (5 denoting Divine Grace) "I am the Lord your God". It is God adding His gifts and blessing to the works of His hands (Ap. 10). In observing this 4th year observation, in regard to their fruit trees they were offering praise - a "sacred and great praise to Jehovah". This brings to my mind the hymn line, And the verse in proverbs. "Trust in the Lord with all thine heart Acknowledging Him - giving Him the glory. Hope I have not meanered too much. Thank you for your patience

Hello there,
"But in the fourth year ---" [4 denotes creative works (3+1) and always has reference to the material creation, as pertaining to the earth)--- " all the fruit thereof shall be holy to praise (H1974) "the Lord withal."
"And when ye shall come into the land, and shall have planted all manner of trees for food, then ye shall count the fruit thereof, as uncircumsised: three years" --- (3 the number of divine perfection and completion) --- " shall it be as uncircumcised (uncovenanted) unto you, it shall not be eaten of" (then follows the verse above)
"holy to praise" (Heb. holiness of praises)
"Praises" in plural for emphasis
"For a sacred and great praise unto Jehovah"
"Praising Him in the simple things
our going out and in."
and lean not unto thine own understanding
in all thy ways acknowledge Him,
And He shall direct thy paths."
