Could there be a correlation between "leviathan" in Job, and the "great dragon" or "that old serpent", i.e. Satan (or the beasts who are given powere by Satan)? Here is the meaning of "dragon". Heb "tan", a monster (as preternaturally formed) i.e. a sea-serpent (or other huge sea animal); also a jackal (or other hideous land animal); dragon, whale. Heb "tan-neem", a marine or sea monster i.e. sea serpent or jackal; dragon, sea monster, serpent, whale. Gr "drakon", a fabulous kind of serpent (perhaps as supposed to fascinate); dragon. 3 "Will he speak soft words unto thee?" When God was speaking to Job in Job 41, He describes a "leviathan". I had thought this was probably a crocodile, but there are verses that sound very different from any creature I know of. The meaning found in Strong's Concordance :

Here are the particular verses in Job 41 that seem to have more than one possible meaning:
4 "Will he make a covenant with thee?" Cp Dan 9:27
9 Behold, the hope of him is in vain; shall not one be cast down even at the sight of him?" Cp Rev 13:14;
15 "His scales are his pride" Cp Ezek 28:15,17
20 "Out of his nostrils goeth smoke, as out of a seething cauldron". [CB- from a boiling pot or reed-fire set]
21 "His breath kindleth coals, and a flame goeth out of his mouth" Cp Ezek 28:16; Rev 13:13
34 He beholdeth all high things: he is a king over all the children of pride. [CB - sons of pride] Cp Is 14:13,14; Ezek 28:17&34
