No, I had not made any more progress on those scriptures, so what you sent proved to be quite helpful, and I added it to my study on these "difficult verses" of Proverbs. I think we should look for the blueness of our wounds (chastisement) during our lives. After all, we are told that we should "Ponder the path of thy feet, and let all thy ways be established" (Prov 4:26). On the other hand, "Many are the afflictions of the righteous..." (Ps 34:19) and the two can sometimes be confused, can they not? Let me know if you can unlock any more of those passages.
