As you see in my other posting, I have some of the verses mostly resolved, but perhaps I am off target on some. Others, such as the last in the list, completely defy me. Here are the three I am still having the most difficulty with: A divine sentence [or oracle] is in the lips of the king: his mouth transgresseth not in judgment. 16:10 [Applicability to the wise king, Solomon (who recorded Proverbs)?] The blueness of a wound cleanseth away evil: so do stripes the inward parts of the belly. 20:30 [Correction is effective in changing the heart? Physical interpretation questionable since cleansing evil is the result.] The poor and the deceitful man meet together: the LORD lighteneth both their eyes. 29:13 I hope that you are have a good January in Wales. Here in Tennessee, we have been having several days in the 60s - how nice! - even though the trees are empty and gray like the sky. The western half of the US is having a real winter.
