Posted by Chris Well it is year's end again, and the celebration, that I always find it hard to swallow is upon us, does anyone else find it hard to say 'Happy Christmas'? I try to say something other than that - like 'seasons greetings' or 'happy holiday' anything but identify our Lord with it. Celebrating any religious event goes against the grain, because what we have in Christ Jesus transcends religion. Celebrating days and years just puts us on a par with all the other religions. Children in school acknowledge to some degree all of the religious holy days regardless of what religion it is whether Hindu, Moslem or any other, and in among it all comes Christmas, just another holy day. Yet I am no different to anyone else, I buy the cards, the presents, enjoy the day with my family, that is good to do - whatever the reason. I just wish it was not a religious event. Hypocricy? Very probably. Chris
