God chooses "according to the good pleasure of his will" Eph 1:5. Consider all that he has does for one whom He chooses (this being during Acts): But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth: whereunto he called you by our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ. Dear Chris and Joyce,
"Therefore hath he mercy on whom he will have mercy, and whom he will he hardeneth".
Ro 9:21-23:
"Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honour, and another unto dishonour? What if God willing to show his wrath, and to make his power known, endured with much long-suffering the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction: And that he might make known the riches of his glory on the vessels of mercy, which he had afore prepared unto glory".
Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace.
