Posted by Past, Present, and Future on 11/5/2006, 8:16 am, in reply to "Salvation" PAST "in trespasses and sins, wherein time past ye walked". God has forgotten these things of the past since we have been redeemed by His Son. Our sins are forgiven! 2Cor 5:19 Eph 1:7 PRESENT Eph 2:4,5 This great salvation is possible in our lives because of grace on God's part, and faith on our part. Faith is not a work, it is belief of fact. We are saved "unto" good works which God had foreordained that we should walk in them. His burden is light and we walk out of thankfulness. FUTURE Our hope is to be manifested with Him in glory. We are have already , in anticipation, been raised with Christ in the heavenly places. In the future, when He appears, we will appear with Him in glory. In conclusion, PAST sins are forgiven, NOW we are saved from the power of sin day by day. In the FUTURE we will be saved from the very presence of sin. The power that raised Christ from the dead makes all these things possible.

SALVATION
"that God was in Christ, reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them"
In whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace.
But God, Who is rich in mercy, in His great love wherewith He loved us, even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ.
-----------
Believing identifies us with Christ in life, death, burial, and resurrection. As members of the body of Christ, we are identified with Him in His ascension. This means being quickened, raised, and seated with Him in heavenly places.
