(Yes Lynn, I shall leave the parenthesis where it is in the text ) Looking at your comparison of the introduction of Romans with the postscript, the gospel that Paul had been preaching was the gospel of God concerning His Son Jesus Christ, Son of David, Son of God. This He shared with the other apostles, except that He preached to the Gentiles (uncircumcision) and they to the Circumcision. So what was different in Ephesians - as you say Lynn, We are now a new creation - one new man - no nation having ascendency - a joint body.
