Posted by Chris on 9/15/2006, 10:07 am, in reply to "the 2 Mysteries of Ephesians" Looking at the will of God in Ephesians, we see that the apostle Paul was an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God (Eph 1:1) That it is God's will that we should be adopted as His children (Sons) by Jesus Christ, (Eph 1:5) having made us accepted 'in Christ' by His death and resurrection, by which we are forgiven our sins by His grace (His unmerited favour). (Eph 1:6) We are also told to wisely know what the will of the Lord is, (Eph 5:17), as that knowledge is to govern our walk, that we are to live as the servants of Christ doing the will of God from the heart (Eph 6:6) as to the lord and not to men. So we should live in such a way as to glorify God in the sight of all, whether men or angels. Just a start, please add. In Christ

The Mystery of His Will
God wants us to know that in 'the dispensation of the fulness of times' He has purposed, because it pleases Him, to gather together in one 'all things' in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; IN HIM. (Eph 1:9,10) It is also His will that we should 'In the Beloved' also obtain an inheritance. (Eph 1:11) That we should be to the praise of His glory.
