I think the answer to that (the mind of Christ)is actually in the last verse that you quoted, Phil 2:13 - it's His Work!! And is ours as we look upon Him, by the contemplation of the Word and communion with Him, our mind is renewed. This is only 'thought' lynn obviously, but who can express the unexpressable, or concieve the unconceivable. When you see where the verse concerning our having the mind of Christ comes, in Corinthians - which was a carnal assemby,and could not receive the meat of the word because of their fleshly minds and habits; you realise that 'having the mind of Christ' does not depend on anything within ourselves or our 'fitness' to receive it - we 'HAVE' it. Oh, how gracious the Lord is to us isn't He Lynn, how absolutely gracious!! We may not understand it, but WE BELIEVE IT !! And we praise our glorious Lord for His wisdom which has made His provision for us sure and steadfast and unchangeable and incorruptible - which never fades away - Awesome!! Don't expect great things of me Lynn, I have my limitations, but praise God, He is not limited and His Word is not bound, His arm is not shortened that it cannot save, and He saves to the uttermost!!!! I am His, You are His - We are beloved and cared for. Nothing can seperate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus, 'Oh, what a Saviour, what a Lord,' We are 'In Him' - what an amazing reality!! And being in Him, we must have His mind !!! - Yes, I am beside myself! Just contemplating these truths makes me so thrilled with it all.
