Posted by Lynn on 9/13/2006, 2:14 pm, in reply to "Re: 'Of the same mind'" I am sorry to have taken so long to respond to your study. I looked up each verse. Several studies could be made from these. There are at least nine different Greek words for "mind". Some of the basic word meanings for mind: The scripture in Romans alone is a great resource for understanding the two natures. A topical study using the verses that discuss the importance of being of one accord and of one mind would also be a nice study. The verses about the mind of God are a bit of a mystery to me. Ro 11:33,34 Also 1Cor 2:16 [The Lord here is speaking of the supreme authority, God.] In Php 2:5 [The word "mind" here = interest oneself in, have sentiment in the same direction as.] In the preceding verses as well as those that follow, the attributes mentioned are: humility, esteeming others better than ourselves, doing nothing through strife or vainglory. How can we have the mind of Christ when He is unsearcheable? Php 2:13 is my best guess: "For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of His good pleasure". What is your understanding on how it is possible that we have the mind of Christ?

O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God; How unsearcheable are His judgments, and His ways past finding out!
For who hath known the mind of the Lord? or who hath been His counsellor?
For who hath known the mind of the Lord that he may instruct Him? But we have the mind of Christ.
Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
