Finding another to study with is quite a task. I often wish we could know how many there are. If there was another believer near to us, I believe that God would find a way to bring us together. The commission given to Paul to "make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery" is often taken to be OUR commission. The word has been written and is complete for anyone to see. Even when Paul was writing, there were few who believed his message. The time when he said "all of Asia is turned away from me" and "for I have no man likeminded" as well as as Philemon which speaks of the "church in thy house" all show that the numbers were small. I think that any one of us would be glad to discuss the scriptures, but there are so few who want to know. If a question isn't asked, the answer likely won't be heard. It makes enen more precious those we do meet. So, glad to know you! I grew up in northern Indiana in the US. It is not one of the more lovely states. The land is flat, with small businesses and farmland. Although we moved several times, most of the houses we lived in were old two-story houses. The best thing about the Midwest is the people. We always felt safe and free and very much part of a community. Like you, I didn't start really reading and studying the Bible until around thirty. Teen years and early twenties were so full of "the cares of this world". Once I started reading though, I was hooked. God's word is amazing isn't it? It never ceases to delight and draw me.
