Posted by Lynn on 8/14/2006, 7:16 pm, in reply to "Romans /Ephesians" Romans was the last book Paul wrote to the Acts period believers. The message is similar to Acts 26:22,23. Romans 1:1-6 is the basis for the gospel of God preached throughout. Romans is laced with quotes from the OT. Quotes from Abraham, Isaiah, Moses, David abound. "As it is written" Ro 15:4 The old and new nature are described in Ro 7&8. "But now" indicates something has changed. See Ro 3:21-23. A truth central to Romans is not apparent. The final verses give a hint of what is to come as that dispensation was coming to an end. Perhaps this is what was being referred to: Romans 16:25-27. Compare with Eph 2:19-22.

Chapter 4,9:27-29; 10:16-21; 11:9,10
Ro 3:10,11; 9:13,17; 10:11,20; 11:26,27; 15:21; 16:22,23
For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.
