Hi Gail! I still can't believe that I really did see our favourite orange car for real - guess it is taking a while to sink in. If I ever get a chance for an up-close look, then I will be just thrilled to bits! 
You will definately know about it, mate! As for it being genuine, as far as I know, it was an actual '69 Dodge Charger, meaning the whole shape of the car was the same as the General Lee. I doubt that it would have been an original from either the tv show or the movies, but somebody (probably a Dukes fan) has had it imported from the US at great expense, or, it is the one that was up for grabs in an Australia-wide competition thru a national burger franchise (Hogg's Breath Cafe). This was a few years ago now, but who knows where the winner came from in Australia; could be anywhere. Gee, Gail, you probably have so many Generals over there that they probably drive up and down every street in America all the time, right??! LOL!
