Hi everyone,
Tom Sarmento called me this afternoon and we spent quite some time talking. I have some messages from him and I'm going to include all of them here.
Thanks,
Phyllis
Thank You Binder
Tom has been away from home for a few days and just got the package today. He is so appreciative of the kind words everyone sent to him. He had spent time today reading every letter and said he would be reading them all again. He also was enjoying the pictures that were included from Gary, especially the one of him with his granddaughter at PSI. He and I had a nice chat both about his career and his family. Thanks everybody from Tom and also from me for helping Tom have a nice day. He does want us all to know that he appreciates us too.
Al Wyatt, Jr.'s July Surgery
Tom gave me a short update on Al's July knee replacement surgery. The surgery was successful. Al is now walking with the aid of a walker and is looking forward to the day when he can once again play golf and walk down the hill to spend time on the beach. Needless to say he's in good spirits.
Tom Needs Video from PSI
Tom is beginning to think about PSI 2010. He wants to make a short (2-3 minute) promotional video showing highlights from this year's PSI event. This video will not be for sale. It will be used by Tom as a sales pitch for his event with potential sponsors. If you have ANY video footage from PSI which you would be willing to allow Tom to edit whatever part of it he wants to use into this promo video, please contact me. Thanks from Tom and from me.
Feedback Needed to Help Plan PSI 2010
Tom has a couple of questions for you all.
If you attended PSI this year, what did you like and what needs to be done differently next year? Tom wants honest feedback so don't hold back.
If you didn't attend PSI this year, why did you decide not to go? Now I know it was money for some of you but for those of you who chose some other event rather than PSI, why? What would have brought you to PSI rather than the event you attended?
Tom wants to know WHERE we want PSI. Do we want it in Concord again? Do we want it in Covington so we can also tour the filming sites while we're there as we did last summer around DukesFest? Do we want it farther north.... Kentucky, Ohio, around St. Louis or Indianapolis, or in the upper northeastern section of the country? If you live in Canada would you attend PSI? No matter where you live where would it need to be located so you would attend?
What are your priorities when choosing an event to attend? Do you go mainly to see a stunt show, mainly to meet celebrities and get signatures, to hear music, or what?
Tom does want to know where PSI needs to be and what it needs to include so that you would attend in 2010.
All feedback and comments are welcome. Please give us your ideas. Thanks.
Phyllis
