Hey everyone, John has a new DVD out that is a must have.
As you know there were three Travelers used in "Collier & Co. - Hot Pursuit". One was Bo's General Lee (minus the decals) which John sold at auction in 2008. One was Erik's Traveler which he still proudly owns. The third was the Traveler which made the jump in the movie. That car, along with the yellow "Granddaddy's" car, had been stored on a trailer since 2007 when the road trip ended in hopes that something would happen that would finance "Collier 2". Unfortunately that did not occur and John recently sold the jumped Traveler on eBay.
Since the car was sold John had to get it off the trailer. Granddaddy's car was behind it and had to come off first. With the help of Michael and Wes, John attempted to get the job done. They turned on a camera and let it film the entire time they worked. The result is a hilarious home movie of John Schneider spending his last minutes struggling with the jumped Traveler. Due to pleas from my friend, Tonya, and me, John and Scott decided to release this completely unedited raw footage as a 2009 DVD called "Goodbye, Traveler".
I received my copy and immediately upon watching it knew that I had to let everybody know that this DVD is available for sale. I found myself laughing at the actions and words of these men as they worked hard trying to get those cars off that trailer. At the end though I was hit with sad reality. The jumped Traveler was once again sitting beside Granddaddy's car just as they had been sitting at so many theaters during that road trip. This time though would be the last time as Traveler was going to a new home. That's when it hit me that "Collier & Co." was over. Any hopes of a "Collier 2" were leaving with Traveler.
"Goodbye, Traveler" is being sold as part of a combo. Included in the combo is the DVD "Goodbye, Traveler", a licensed Dukes of Hazzard adult t-shirt, and a General Lee bumper sticker. The DVD is approximately 30 minutes of completely unedited reality-style raw footage. The combo is available for $20 plus shipping and handling at www.dukesfest.com. Please remember that this footage was not written, produced, or edited. This is your chance to own this raw footage in its entirety. Please note that the DVD is not available outside of this special combo offer.
