Long neck framus banjo

I noticed you had a framus alomost idential to one my boyfriend picked up when he was 16. However, he is just now interested in playing with it (10 years later), but cannot find extra long ball end strings. Does he have to use ball end or can he use loop end strings? If he can use loop end how would he go about stringing this particular banjo? If he connot use loop end strings, what company makes extra long ball end strings? Thanks!
