The easiest way is to place the capo at the third fret, then tune it as a conventional 22-fret banjo (gCGBD for c tuning or gDGBD for g tuning). Then you can adjust the 5th string accordingly as you move the capo up or down the neck. In open position the strings would be 3 steps down from that capoed position....John
