Re: Golden Lady + Billy Jack
Bruce, I wish you and Julie a grand time in Vegas, but hey, don't gamble your house away!
I also want to thank you for sending me this "Shallow" scene from A Star Is Born.
I'm re-posting it here for all to enjoy!
Bruce, I know we discussed this before but I wanted to share Billy Jack's view on death with everyone on board.
Hope it's ok! Hope you're ok too! :>))
From `Trial of Billy Jack`
"Long ago I learnt that death is my constant companion.
He eats with me, he walks with me, he even sleeps with me.
Fact is, he sits with everyone of us every second of our lives only we're too terrified to really think about that.
Once you do, it will completely change your entire outlook on life.
You ask yourself even in the most serious crisis,
how important would this really be if I were suddenly told that I have one more week to live?
You learn to take nothing too seriously.
On the other hand, you ask yourself, if this were my last act on earth, is this what I really wanna do?
So you learn on the one hand to be detached from the temporary things of this world,
And on the other hand, you learn to appreciate everything in it all the more."
