Re: Bob & Bobbie's on-line store
The tracks are listed on their order page, Jim. It looks like what we used to call a double album.
Got my pre-order in.
When I announced the CD with Bobbie's blessing on Jan 7 below, I mentioned " Among the tracks: completely re-imagined versions of 'The Seine' and 'Scotch and Soda,' that elusive recording of 'Honey' that preceded Bobby Goldsboro's monster hit by nearly a year, likely the late Tim Hardin's two best-known tunes, 'Reason To Believe' and 'Lady Came From Baltimore,' and fourteen more."
I have a rough cut of the whole CD to help me with the liner notes and it's great. The whole track list should wait til the formal release, but adding a couple more titles won't hurt: "The Eyes of Lucy Jordan" and "A Simple Thing As Love" are also on the album and are really good.
Put in my Pre Order for Bob's cd. This was recorded late 60's during the hiatus between the Stewart years and the NEW Kingston Trio. A variety of genres. Recorded at the Glaser Brothers studio. These guys were/are a really talented tight harmony group. Hopefully their recording/producing skills follow suit. CD is to ship in March.
Closest I'll ever get to the fantasy CD I'd always wanted to produce myself. My "Fantasy" CD would feature Bob solo singing many of the great old standards, since it's MY fantasy of course Id be backing Bob up on solo guitar. That would be my fathers 1935 Gibson Super 400. Tunes like Do you know what it means to Miss New Orleans, Am I Blue, The nearness of you etc.. Never can happen of course but looking forward to this new cd.
Wonder what else was in that box of goodies???
This is good news. I'll be supporting this in my own small way. Hoping as many do as can see fit. I'll say this is most likely a way to clear out their remaining stock.
Hoping there will be no legal hassles about this with "you know who"
