I was watching the Bohemian Rhapsody movie last night(great flick btw) and noticed the finale concert in the film felt so immersive..so overwhelming that it made me think of seeing The Avett Brothers last month...that concert was phenomenal.
Music should surround you..it should bathe you in it's glory....GBR did that for me....The Folk Legends do that for me..The Avett Brothers do that for me...but those videos of the Marvinettes don't do it..they just seem so dull and lifeless..and no amount of backstage gossip or syncophantic praise can make me change my mind.
It's bad enough most of modern Top 40 music sucks but does one of the trailblazing bands in American History have to suck?
Practice all they want but it can't hide lack of talent..so I close the book on my KT fandom and start down new roads...
