Re: Something you don't see in church every Sunday
George, I am most happy to hear that you have not forgotten where your roots are! Am sorry that Jan and I are not up at Swannanoa to see you. But we are hitting the road Thursday to places up North. The best to you and Cindy

.......with whom I'm having dinner Thursday night.
I'm currently in Asheville (Swannanoa, really), teaching at the "Traditional Song Week" portion of the Swannanoa Gathering at Warren-Wilson College. The talent here is amazing, and I'm delighted to be such a contributing part to it.
I must admit that my thoughts have drifted back to September when I gave my last performance ever as one of the KT just a few miles from here in downtown Asheville. The next day, Cindy and her sister and I (and a couple other dear friends) went to Billy Edd's house for a party sponsored by the Wheelers and Dr. Doug Orr, President Emeritus of W-W College.
Then we drove up the Blue Ridge Parkway to Boone where we visited with my sister and then did a side trip to visit the grave of Tom Dula. Quite an illustrious finish to my 41-year career in that group.
