Re: TV conspiracy against KT ?
I believe that snippet is found in a blog you posted entitled "Remembering Nick Reynolds." It's the last video in the article. http://nrmem.blogspot.com/
Absolutely, Joe, emphatically. I am an NBD fan above all other Trios but never got to see them live, due largely to age. I did see NBJ multiple times, and even on the last tour they never disappointed - but that PPV thing would be a treasure.
BTW - I often wondered. Do you recall a snippet of a video in the Wherever We May Go video that is put onscreen as the color version of "A Worried Man" is playing (I think that it's this song) with Nick signing autographs for a small mob of uniformed Japanese school girls? I've always though that it might be from Werber's project.
Jim, there is a second Holy Grail, too.
How about all that film Werber had shot of the Trio's Far East tour right before the Dave situation reached critical mass. It was supposed to be a TV special but got shelved when Dave left.
Understood, and like all other fans I wonder the same things. I do believe that the ppv show is still at least halfway on topic because as my linked article shows it was pre-recorded and broadcast and has never surfaced. And while I remember the Bell Telephone shows and Lloyd Thaxton, I do think that a 90 minute full NBJ show at their height could fairly be described as the Holy Grail of missing videos.
While I appreciate the discussion about the KT pay per view concert and where is it? I wasn't just thinking about that pay per view, I was more focused on the KT appearances I know exist on video, such as Bell Telephone, Steve Allen, Lloyd Thaxton Show, Where the action is etc but we never see the KT performances posted although we see these shows posted with many other episodes.
KT appeared on the Steve Allen Show 02/07/63, they also appeared on the Bell Telephone Hour in 1959 with DG, this and other TV appearances I can't find to view, although many of the BTH and Steve Allen shows are on the internet so what gives?
