Wonderful, Jim, and thanks for presenting the great job by Teresa (correct spelling) all in one place. Those performances by the KT are my favorites of the superp configuration, ever. I wish she had been able to include the Going Home, as they pulled out all the stops that last night, and Rick hit a harmony note I’d never heard on that song. I wanted to hear it again, but alas. Chills, anyway. The songs are out of order, in that the Bill Yellow Shirt set was the first night. I think he was still trying to wrap his head around the events that had transpired, and the lion sons’ childish and destructive behavior. Bill also hadn’t shaved that day, but he sure helped put an exclamation point on the professional era of the various configurations of the Kingston Trio.
I was lucky enough to see the video Bobbie shot of GBRs “demo” a day or two after they auditioned with Rick in B&Bs living room. It was clear this was going to be “right.” And boy did that prove to be true. And they grew and they grew. There was no stopping them... well, almost.
Luckily, they will continue on as the professionals and solid people they are. Can’t wait for the next installment of the “Camp in Scottsdale.”
