When they left Kalamazoo to move to Nashville in the 70's, that's when the heartaches began.
One smart move was the purchase of "Flatiron", in Bozeman, Montana for the acoustic division, back in the day.
Next chapter in the making, we'll see what happens.
A sort of related development to keep an eye on is the changes at Heritage. FYI, when Gibson left 225 Parsons st.in the 70's. A small group of former employees began the "Heritage" instrument company. High quality arch tops and more would continue to be built at that location. Not to terribly long ago, Heritage also was sold to a new group. Recently they've made changes to keep up with "Progress". Introducing CNC use and so on. Can't fight progress I suppose. Without CNC, both Taylor and Martin would e in trouble.
"All's well that ends well....I suppose"
: Gibson guitars has filed for bankruptcy! Wow!
: Glad it wasn't Martin!
