I have an early 60's (Boston made) Vega openback 5 string to trade for an Eastman 600 or 800 series, F style mandolin (preferred oval hole) but will trade for f-holes, or similiar quality mandolin.
The banjo has the Tubaphone ring and bracket band. I purchased it from Gryphyn guitar about 6 years ago and had a shubb 5st. capo added and had it set up. It plays and sounds great.
It is the same pot as the Pete Seeger, and the neck style is like the one Peegy Seeger had custom made but it is the reg. length 5 string neck. The only case that I have for it is the one it was shipped in-an old chipboard case, and it's for the longneck folky model.
I paid $1,000 for it and hsd it set up after that on it so I'd like to trade in that $1,000 "used value" area.
